Free Rice!

Play Freerice and feed the hungry

This isn't something I've designed. This is Free Rice, a online vocabulary-building game that promotes education while donating rice to end world hunger. This is how it works: click on the banner, start playing the vocabulary game and for each word you answer correctly, you donate 10 grains of rice. The rice is able to be donated due to advertisers who pay to be featured on this site. Not a big English fan? There's other subjects too, like math and geography.

So, while you're wasting time in front of the internet, be sure to check this site out and support an amazing cause.

Amazon Black Lager

This is a personal project inspired by an old school project done for an illustration class my sophomore year of college. The original piece was two separate illustrations, both of which I will have to post on this blog to show a comparison when I'm finished. I intend to polish this illustration a bit more and also create two more labels. Three is simply a nicer number, don't you think?

Wedding Invitations

Weddings are supposed to be a celebration of two lives coming together, and the life after is supposed to be an adventure. I'm a firm believer in doing things the way you want to. If it's your wedding why can't you have it the way you want it? Memories are more important than sticking to a tradition that's going to make someone else happy.

So, this wedding invitation may not seem traditional, but I think that's part of the charm. Inspired by Kevin and Caitlin, Paper Mario (and video games in general) and Star Trek.

YouTube Banner

I was responsible for a lot of little projects while I was at TPAC, in addition to all the larger pieces I worked on. Sometimes, the little projects were more fun and fulfilling! This is an example of one of those small things I got to work on. They ended up not using this banner for the TPAC YouTube page, but I still really liked the illustrations! Plus, I'm a sucker for that sunshine yellow and gray (in case you hadn't noticed).

A Chorus Line Web Ad

I had the opportunity to work on a lot of web ads for several productions at TPAC. I always those this particular ad would have made a great flash ad. Some swooping and animated sparkles would really represent A Chorus Line.

TPAC Save the Date

Just a simple invitation for the TPAC New (Fiscal) Year party. With creative freedom comes chartreuse, patterns and birds.
